Timely Information

  • Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm. 
  • Phone/Video appointments are scheduled after all documents and organizers are submitted to ensure that the meeting is as productive as possible.
  • Clients who do not elect direct deposit may experience delays in receiving their refunds as the federal government transitions to electronic payment processing in compliance with Executive Order 14247.
  • Two Factor Authentication is now required to access the client portal. This is in alignment with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, which is designed to protect our clients' personal information.
Our client portal is the most secure way to share files, send messages, sign your return, pay your invoice, and more.

Document Best Practices: For your security, please DO NOT email documents or use file-sharing services like Google Docs or Dropbox.

Preferred File Types for Upload: PDF

  • PDFs may contain several documents.
  • JPG files are okay as long as they are legible and the total number of JPGs uploaded is under 25.
  • If you don't have a scanner, you can download the TaxDome phone app and utilize it to create PDFs. 
  • We are unable to open or convert Apple or Heic files.

Common Document Issues:

  • Be sure to upload brokerage statements or any other tax documents in their entirety, remember that some documents are double sided.
  • Provide password information for all locked or protected documents.
  • We will not commence tax preparation services until you have confirmed that all known documents are present.

Bookkeeping:

  • If you utilize Quickbooks, please invite your accountant to your Online books or upload a backup copy of your Desktop records. Be sure to share the Admin password for your accountant to open backup files.

  • Providing numerous receipts and/or bank statements for our office to determine expense totals is considered bookkeeping and will be billed at our hourly rate.  It may also delay the preparation of your tax return. If you would like to keep your invoice charges to a minimum, we have web organizers available to input your summarized income and expense totals.
  • Spreadsheets - please utilize our self-employed and rental web organziers.
